Liverpool Telly Channels

Around Town

From Liverpool's most surreal barman, Darryl Doo, to the various festivals that happen throughout the year, and the outlets for some of the city's creativity. Presented with a local's knowledge and a world's inquisitiveness.

Music

Not just The Beatles, but music from every decade, including a regular look at the contemporary music emanating from here. Profiles of individual artists/bands from the city, and a look at why so much good music comes from here.

Sport

If it's 'live' games you want, this isn't the place, but for interesting documentaries on the history of the football clubs, profiles of individual footballers, or the vibe when The International Tennis Tournament comes to town and more, then this is where you'll find it.

History and Architecture

This one will take us some time to get going, but when we do, we will cover two topics that have been inextricably linked through the centuries. Even today, the economic growth is moving hand in hand with contemporary architecture. Overall introduction of each topic individually will be followed by other short programs looking at key buildings around the city in greater detail, as well as key moments in the city's history

Liverpool music, Liverpool sport, even the Liverpool ferries.

And now that 2008 is here, Liverpool, European Capital Of Culture.

Now that I’m back at my ‘day job’ of touring the world, directing video for ‘live’ concerts, (I know, I know, but somebody’s got to do it), new programs on Liverpooltelly won’t come as quick as I’d like them to, but there are still lots of program ideas being worked on, and an enormous amount of things happening in the city to convey to the world. The vision remains, but the timetable has changed!

Liverpooltelly aims to be the platform to reflect, and access, the culture of one of the world’s most influential cities.
